Hi Forum Readers:
Babe is doing much better:). I am amazed at how well he does by himself for an hour or so. (I'm observing him however--he doesn't know).
Re: The grooming...I try and groom him early in the day; he prefers early evening. He will cooperate w/ his Nylabone. He knows what the grooming pad is for. No I wasn't putting him on a table. I will try this--my backside will soon be flat from sitting on the floor. He seems threatened if you are not on his level.
He is cranky from his teeth. I try and keep him entertained. So we bake or cook alot. He was previously feed everything but puppy food. Now he understands he will not be receiving human food. In fact I can now sit on the floor and eat something w/o him begging.
I got a clicker. W/n a few clicks he caught on quickly. And now I don't need to use it but when I come in in the morning to settle him down...he gets excited to see me. But I greet him, and then give him a Time-Out for a minute or two.
His New Bed: I haven't been able to go and look for the fabric...I hope to today.
My parents are not pleased w/ Babe because he responds only to me. I tried to explain my training method, but they are older and don't want to learn.
The only true problem is that he wakes around 5:00 a.m. and tears up his bed or potty papers for fun. To him it's playtime! But I'm trying to get a couple hrs. of sleep.
It will all work out. His puppy check-up is on Wed. due to the holiday.
Happy Valentine's Day to All and your Furry Kids!
