This is the little angel that I had ask prayer for awhile back she had the open fontanel and her human mom and dad are having a hard time with this
Here is the update I got last night.
This was the hardest thing I ever did on my own I think.
I loved Mallee Dae more than you can know. More than I have ever loved a dog.
Her problems all seemed to start Sat. Even though she has always ran to the right when she ran and played. She was kinda of slow at doing anything the last few days. Eventually her legs quit working and she didn't seem to know what to do. If I put her on the floor to play and called her to run with the dogs, she just set there. Then I noticed how hard it was for her to stand and poop. Then she even started falling flat to pee. All fours legs would go out from under her like if she was on ice when she would stand. She couldn't stand to eat from her food dish. I had to lift it to her while holding her. Then she would eat like a little piggy. She cried and barked from 12:00 am to 6:00 am. I finally got her to go potty by giving her olive oil and applesauce. Since she couldn't stand long enough to poop she got constipated. Then when I was trying to walk her around the house with her new little ferret leash, she just didn't have what it takes to make the effort. So, I took her first to the Banfield Hospital at Petsmart where she had been getting her shots. They took blood work and said she prob had the liver stunt thing and that I needed to take her to a hospital where they could watch her for the night, but that they couldn't do surgery if she needed it. So, I chose to go to a regular pet hospital in Annapolis. About 40 more minutes from where I was. I had been at the first place since 300 and it was not 749. I really liked the Pet Hospital in Annapolis. They did test and conferred with all the VETs in the Hospital and they came to the same conclusion. That she had water on the brain and possible liver stunts both from birth and just got worse. I don't have the medical terms in front of me, but I know you both know what I am talking about. Then the VET checked the internet for vets and confirmed that anything they would try to do would be very short term and that if she could even withstand the surgeries, there would be a risk and less than a 40% chance she would make it and maybe then not improve. Since she couldn't walk, eat, or eliminate, they said I would be doing what was best for her by letting her go. The Hospital cremated her and put her ashes in a Pet Cemetary and my heart is broken. I don't know when I will actually be able to talk about it, so I decided to write this note instead.
They gave me time to say good bye and tell her we loved her and give her hugs. It was truly hard.
