Barack Obama faces an economic crisis, U.S. troops engaged on foreign soil and naming his new team. But the question on everyone’s minds seems to be, "What’s the new presidential pooch going to be?''
While Obama has narrowed down the family’s choices for family dog to a Labradoodle or a Portuguese water dog, he told ABC News the challenge “has been tougher than finding a Commerce secretary.”

I hope they go with the Portuguese Water Dog.
We had a Labradoodle in our one class and she was crazy.
The down side to all this is, once they get the dog, the 'public' will want to have the same type and there comes the problem. Too many will be put out there and when the 'fun' wears off, the pooch winds up in a shelter. Always happens, esp. when a movie is made and everyone wants that type of dog.
I do hope they will go to the shelter and save one. That will be one lucky pooch.

I really hope they don't go with a labradoodle. I hate to see the designer breeds being advertised like that.

Labradoodles are suppose to be low in the dander department because of the poodle in them.
