Yesterday, Tony my daughter's (live-in) bf asked if he could borrow my car. I am very picky when it comes to my car. I basically live out of my car during the day. I felt bad because he had asked for a favor previously and I said no so reluctantly I said yes go ahead.

As I was doing my last pottying of the night my daughter comes running outside on the phone. "Mom Tony got into an accident!" I said "What?!" "Is he hurt?" "No but he flipped over in the car!" "Mom go with me" "Sam I need to get the fluffs back in the house" "Mom I'm going......take the other car!"

I put the fluffs in the house go to my room tell my hubby to put his shorts on because Tony had an accident. On the way there my daughter calls "Mom where are you" as she is crying hysterically. I get there and there are 2 police cars, a public aide car and an undercover car........and......my poor car laying on it's side. I was happy he was ok and he had the acciddent on his own and no one else was involved. But looking at my car laying on it's side and all my stuff strewd all over the street and coming out of the windows I started bawling.

The tow truck came and started pulling my car so it would turn up right....that grinding steel against the asphalt sounded horrible! Finally it got flipped over and everything that was hanging out the window fell out. They towed it to my house.*****flushes $200 down the drain for a 1 mile tow******

Turns out what happened was the road was wet and he was making a left turn and hit a puddle, hydro planed, went over the median and he tried to correct it to quick and the car flipped.

The only 3 funny things about the whole thing (which is the only way to look at it now) is 1. we found my lost bracelet that I had thought I lost forever 2. the public aide guy asked my daughter if Tony was my son and when she said no he said "oh geez is your Mom gonna come over here and start screaming and yelling at him?" 3. my car is going to finally get the hood painted since the color was fading.

Oh I went back to the crime scene this morning just to make sure every personal item was picked up last night and found 2 packages of un-opened panty liners laying on the side of the road. Told you I live out of my car!

Here are the pics.

If you look hard you can see the car on it's side.

OMG, maggie! No good deed goes unpunished. Is your car insurance deductible really high? They should reimburse you for the tow truck. Save your receipt!

Wow Maggie.. its hard to look at those pictures and believe he was not injured. Did he have to go to the hospitol to make sure everything was ok? Those are intense especially the one on its side. That must have been so scary for him. Im glad noone was hurt or anyone else was involved.. I am sorry your car was torn up though. My poor car has been in 2 accident so I like to joke its had lots of plastic surgery.

No Jess he was fine he has a scratch on his leg and one on his arm. His ego is a little bruised, embarassed and slightly depressed because he knows how I took care of that car. :(

Poor car, poor you, and poor daughter's bf! That must be hard on everyone.

Accidents = no fun

Hopefully you're insurance will cover the costs and you can get your car almost like new again!

A real bummer of a night for "everyone!" I can only imagine how scarey it must have been for him to crawl out and see the scene by himself!!! AND to know YOU were coming! ROFLOL

Well the car can be fixed and in time you will forget it had to have plastic surgery. It's amazing what they can do these days to get them looking perfect. I know it was your baby.......but once it is fixed and you are back "living out of your baby" again, the feelings of dispair will pass!!!

I'm glad he was not hurt and maybe he learned a thing or two, granted at your expense but hopefully he learned a life's lesson!!!

    ........"TWO" boxes of panty liners????? You do not need to respond to my shock! LOL:lol2::lol2:

Well Carol it is a large car. Awhile back I had an aweful smell in my car and looked in the front area and couldn't find anything the next day I did the back area search and found that the bagboy had put my milk not in the trunk area but on the third row of seats. So we missed it when we took out the groceries. Picture milk and Florida's heat that would have been some interesting cheese in a few more days!!!! So yes things fall out of grocery bags and things get left by mistake in my car:tounge: and they were probably having a sale on liners.:lol2::lol2::lol2:

Mags, I have to laugh about the "girl" things. Sorry....but that just made my day. I thought I was the only one that carried "necessities" in the car.

Glad no one was hurt and let him know he could have just had the hood painted for you instead of getting insurance to do it. :lol2::lol2::lol2:

Haha! I carry tampons in my glove compartment. I got pulled over on base one time for "random acts against terrorism "checks (dumb I know) and opened my glove compartment to grab my insurance and registration and out a box of opened tampons fell :lol2::lol2: the boy cop was eager to get me on my way. I think he was more embarrassed than I was! :lol2::lol2:

Mags, glad your daughter's bf is ok. Glad you found your bracelet and now you can get your car fixed the way you want it.

I don't have anything extra in my car. I don't like the clutter.

:( Siiiiiiiiiigh! Maggie I really feel for you... and hope this will NOT keep you from going to Orlando.

Tony is darn lucky he wasn't more hurt.

I am just so thankful that your SUV can be fixed and no one else was involved.

Ok Cheryl do you know that game you play at showers were they ask for weird things and the person with the most items in their purse wins? Well I always win and I'd probably win in my car too.

I always have feminine hygiene items, pens, pads, a small stapler, deposit tickets, notary stamp, napkins, plastic forks, rolaids, advil, advil cold and sinus, a recipt envelope, baby wipes, usually a few set of blueprints, extra building applications, tape, jumper cables, nail file, sissors, Luvmyfurbaby mailing stickers, a box cutter, a magazine for when I wait for inspections, some CDs, 3 hotdog bags, 2 dog car seats and my IPOD I know I left so things out but that's all I can think of.:D:D:D
