View Full Version : New Toy for Your Furry Kids...
We all go out and buy costly toys for our furry kids...but the other day I discovered that an empty plastic coffee can w/ lid made a fun toy for Babe.
I first put his tennis ball inside...then I made some holes in the coffee can, and put some of his biscuits broken up that would fall thru the holes as he chased it for a couple of hrs. around the kitchen.
This is not a quiet toy, but one that will entertain a puppy and provide exercise and goodies. The reward for the owner is the puppy will take a nap to rest up for the next round. This also taught him how to roll things along the floor during a game of fetch.
I do supervise the play, however, just in case.
Before buying him the Talking Ball that does the same thing, I first wanted to see if he would understand how the treats were falling to the floor. He caught on quickly. I could see placing his breakfast inside for a.m. fun.

Scrappy has a treats ball that he just loves.... As he only gets it at special times he always does the happy dance when he sees me filling it.....
It doesn't take much to amuse our fluffs as you are finding out.;)
When Scrappy was a puppy he loved a soft drink bottle with rice in it :) That was his favorite toy for a long time till his jaws got strong enough to bite thru it ;)

I started using old clean socks and stuffed them with the stuffing they pull out from their old toys. LB just loves it! Cheaper than buying them all new toys she destroys in 1 day.:D

LoL you didnt make a mistake in another thread it was mentioned by the OP that the lid keeps coming off and it can only be used under supervision.....
The treats ball they can be left unsupervised with..... much safer

Mia likes to play with an empty Dasani water bottle! She chases it around the house for hours!! She also likes to play with a hanger and a pen! Of course I supervise her when she is playing with these toys! But she keeps herself entertained for hours!!!!!!!!!! And I love them because they have my poor fingers from being bitten!;)

hahahaha you liked it then huh?
Well here it is again........ When I found it I thought of you :D
You are right that the lid can come off. But I am right there w/ Babe. He is capable of getting the lid off in a few seconds.
I gave it to him when I discovered he wasn't eating his breakfast. He likes to chase it around and eat his dry food that comes out. Then when it's dinner time he wants his can vs. eating from his bowl.
