For anyone who sews little doggie clothes I thought it might be nice to share info and or websites where we find nice products. I could not find D-rings locally that were solid, they all had the space in the center where they were welded together. I found this site and the D-rings are wonderful. I get the 3/8" cast nickle. They are $9.00 for 100 (making them only .09 each) there is no shipping charge. Such a deal! The service is speedy and they take paypal.

Also for velcro: I purchase the white 2" sew-on. I found this site and the velcro is nice quality, and it comes on it's own spool. I know you can purchase it in different lengths, but I get the 25 yd. spool. It sells for $22.00 + $9.75 shipping. You get both the hook and the loop (2 spools). Again the service is fast and easy with paypal.

That is some great deals! I have purchased from that first site myself and they are "fast" on their shipping. I just bought some 2" velcro sew-on but when I run out, I know where to run to when I need more. :p

I found this site for buying tag clips to be reasonable and a variety of sizes, colors, etc.

And if you don't have a JoAnn Fabric Store around you to buy patterns when they are 99 cents, then Ebay is a good place to look! :)

The D-rings are wonderful. Great quality and the 3/8" is a great size. It is more than large enough for a leash hook for a small breed dog. They arrive in a ziplock type bag so you can either keep them in that or put them in your own container. I have ordered twice and each time I have been very satisfied with the speed of the service.

The first order I only ordered 50; the second order I got 100 and I still have a few of those. I need to re-order soon....I should do it before he decides to charge state tax or shipping.

Oh this is a great thread! Thanks for the link for the d-rings!

Now does anyone know of a cheap site where I can get the cutesy little charms that hang from the d-rings? Also, where do you that have machine embroidery, buy your thread?

I don't have a machine that does embroidery but I did see some for that purpose at JoAnns Fabric Store when I was picking up some regular thread.

Thanks Carol. I was just hoping to find it cheaper. I do use my joann coupons to buy it but thought surely there must be a place on the web cheaper.

I get my embroidery thread from the Viking gallery in Jo-Ann's but it is expensive. I try to wait until they have buy 3 get one free, or when they occasionally have a coupon. I use the Robison-Anton Rayon 40 wt. thread. I want to try the polyester because of color fastness. I have seen it on ebay. Maderia embroidery thread is also good, I have a few spools of that. Sulky, ummmm....have 4-5 small spools but I don't care for it. I won't buy it again. For regular thread I like Guterman. These are just my own personal preferences.

For charms....... ETSY.com under "polymer clay charms" and lots and lots will come up. If you are looking for anything in particular, just search "cowboy polymer clay charms" or whatever category you're looking for. The metal charms can be found on EBAY.com searching under "scrap booking charms" or "enamel charms".

Hope this helps.

Yes I dont care for sulky at all either. I am using Madiera mostly and have also used the Robison-Anton.

Oh thanks for the tip at Etsy, I'll definitely check it out.

Forgot to say......Viking has a coupon sale right now. $10 off of $25 purchase and it is good towards the purchase of thread too.

***This is a Viking coupon, not Joann's
