My favorite bands are these. http://www.mygofetch.com/ Go to accessories, hair then bands. They are thin and do not knot up the hair as much as the others.

I use a hair pick to pull the hair from each corner of her eyes straight back into the topknot.. I hope thats what you meant..
Will he keep hair clips in?? I use those for everyday and they don't pull any hair out and I can take them out really easy at night so she doensnt have to sleep with them in

I really like these: http://www.showoffproducts.com/bands.htm . My breeder recommended the 5/16" fine weight bands. :) They work well without giving you a lot of hair breakage. And you will always want to cut them out of the hair, never pull them out. These little scissors work great: http://www.showoffproducts.com/groom_aid.htm. I hope this helps!

Aren't they wonderful!!!! I love them!! I just wish they came in other colors but I've been told to only use the yellow ones... lol... the black ones are not the same. So, I've always stuck with the yellow ones.

You will love them! The earlier you start your little one with a topknot, the better! That way they get use to it and don't try to rip it out.

I do not use the perm papers but I probably should and I keep meaning to pick some up to try. Carol uses them so she can probably give you the pros and cons. Every dog's hair is different... some have a slight wave to them, others are stick straight... it may or may not straighten as it gets longer, it just depends on what type of coat he has. :) Only time will tell! :) And I've watched show people use flat irons on coats...lol... I'd be too afraid to do it myself!
