My puppy 15 weeks old tried to go #2 tonight and circled his pee paid and cried. He never did go. What should I do or should I be concerned?
Thanks everyone!

My pups would do that when they were trying to find just the right spot to go--circles and urgency :dogsm6: ....maybe going outside would help. Did you just introduce the training pads?

he has been using the pee pads all along. He just seems to be having problems pooping.

If your baby cant go poo-I'd take he/she to a vet if you think its serious enough. How long has it been since went?

Well if its constipation-maybe a warm soak in the tub would help--or could always try a tiny bit of Caro Syrup....that works for my human kids :D AND when I got my puppy, the breeder said it was okay to give a little bit of Caro if showing signs of hypoglycemia so it should be okay to give it.

A warm bath does help just like for a skinbaby. Canned pumpkin also is good for constipation.

But, if he is a little puppy I would have him seen by a vet just to waver on the side of caution.

I dont know much, but it sounds like constipation to me too! Poor baby, I hope everything works out! Take him to the vet!

I would try some of the above suggestions, if he is not okay today please take him to the vet..
Good Luck,
Andrea~

Thanks everyone for the advice! I guess I am a nervous new mother. It's only been a week and a half with my new Maltese and I panicked. He had a bowel movement this morning. Whee.
But now thanks to everyone I'll know what to do in the future.
