Babe just ate a high blood pressure pill that fell to the floor. Do I induce vomiting? How? Or?

I'm sorry I really don't know, but you do need to find out, and quickly. I would either call his emergency vet and ask or the ASPCA poison center.

If you witness the ingestion of a medication, the first thing to do is to call your veterinarian, local emergency facility or animal poison control hot line. Be prepared to give the name of the medication, how many tablets were ingested and at what time the ingestion occurred. Follow their instructions on what to do. Don't try to treat your pet at home. Without proper care, some medications can result in devastating illness or death.

If ingestion was witnessed, inducing vomiting to remove any residual medication is typically the first recommendation. After your pet has vomited, you may be instructed to seek medical care as some medication may have been absorbed into the body and can have serious or even life-threatening effects on dogs and cats .
To induce vomiting , administer 3% Hydrogen Peroxide . Sarah

I'm sorry to all...Yes Babe ingested one of my Mom's high blood pressure tablets around 5:30 p.m. P.S.T. It fell to the floor and he was right under her feet, and had it in his mouth in a nanno sec.

He had just had 1/2 his dinner at 5:00 p.m.

I gave him about a 1/2 tsp. of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide...w/n 7 mins. he vomited...then about 30 mins. later he did again. I checked it and of course because it was a tablet it had already begun breaking down in his system.

His bedtime is at 8:00 p.m. but I was washing his bedding, and wanted him to stay up and have lots of water, and monitor him. We placed him on a bed to check him--he fell asleep on his own.

I told my Mom to sleep w/ him...and watch him very carefully the whole night.

My Mom feels terrible. My Father feels terrible. In a crisis I get very calm. I told my Mom to get him to drink lots of water the entire night. And check him for the slightest change.

I had told my Mom to remove Rxs from the kitchen weeks ago. Today I will be going through all cabinets checking for anything that could harm him. Cleaning supplies are gone already. I'm looking for small items--ties for baggies; etc.

He's like an anteater always checking the floor...and I'm 3-4 times a day checking; vacuuming; washing floor w/ hot water.

It's been over 9 hrs.--I know he's not out of the woods yet. He will go to the vet today. And I will also get together a puppy first aid kit.

Don't be mad at me--pls.

Not mad here either .... well, not now you have posted lol but, very concerned for Babe.

When you have a puppy you have to puppy proof your house exactly how you would for a crawling baby. Both like to stick everything in their mouths.

I do so hope he is okay please keep us posted.

I will be honest. I was P!$$3d, I thought what on earth are you doing posting here when you should be in the car on the phone on your way to the vets. In your original post you didn't know how to induce vomiting, and if you phoned your vet and told them what had happened, I find it odd that they didn't want you to bring babe in.
At the end of the day I am thankful Babe is ok, and yes keep us posted.

I wasn't upset with you but only the situation since it was a rather serious situation..........and so you have to understand when you aren't right there involved in the situation...........you mind does things!!! It invisions things that could be............so we were all on pins and needles waiting to find out what happened. It could have gone very badly and so we were looking for an update as to what the outcome was. Ya see, we are there for you either way to support, help or comfort. So glad we can just be HAPPY with you that all was okay with your BABE.:smlove2:
