I went in the bathroom by our front door and naturally closed the door. When I went to open it again, I didn't know Smokey was on the other side of the door and opened up like I normally do and his foot got caught under the door. Of course he yelped and ran off. I felt horrible and was saying "Awww Smokey baby are you okay?!" and I was watching him walk and he's fine. I went to go over to him to hold him and when he saw I was getting close, he rolled over and submitted. I went to pick him up and hold him but he jumped up and bolted in another direction. Everytime I tried to get close, he'd go in the opposite direction. I eventually got the treats and he came running towards me, but as soon as I went to grab for him to hold him, he'd bolt off again. I finally got him to trust me enough to pick him up but the second I got him on my lap, he jumped off and he was shaking. He's okay with me now because he's laying by my feet. I feel so awful!!!! :(
