I keep checking here in Au for it but haven't found it yet though we do have NB down here.

Duck and potato is supposed to be good if your fluff has allergies.

Let us know not only that he likes it but any health changes in him ie extra energy and improved coat etc ;)

Andrea, NB Duck and Potato is great! LB just loves it and does not upset her tummy! Her BM is firm w/o an awful smell. If I keep her food bin uncovered, she sneaks and nibble from it before I catch her.

I use both giving them equal amounts of each type at each meal. Just as a suggestion, do not wait until you run out totally of the old dog food. You will need to continue to feed her the old and "gradually" add the new dog food increasing the new dog food slowly and reducing the old dog food over a period of at least a week or two or she will get a very bad case of the runs.

My son and I just went shopping today with Jack and decided to try NB Potato/Duck dog food.
I was getting Jack off the puppy food and tried Bil Jac ( the thread that posted all the scores gave that one an F!!!!!!!). I noticed that some tearing was coming back and Jack has been scratching more the last week since being on the Bil Jac.
The pet store we found carries alot of the better qualities food ( dry, wet, and canned) that are listed in that thread.
After 1 hour talking with the store owner, and I had my 'Whole Dog Journals' with me, we decided on this one.
I'm donating all 20 lbs. of the other food to the shelter.
I gave Jack 50/50 amounts of his puppy food and NB tonight. He usually scoffs down his food so fast, but tonight he actually ate slower because he had to chew the crunchy NB nuggets.
My 'Whole Dog Journal' and the store owner said that we should change our dog's food at least 2-3 times a year. Actually change to a different kind.

:D My NB should be here today,I had to go out and buy a new bag of Wellness.I ran out and I know you have to mix the new food with the old for a week . The store I buy my Wellness from (Its private) I can't believe they don't sell NB. You can't get Wellness anywhere where I live except from this store not even at Petco, so I am just amazed they don't sell NB..My search is on for NB, maybe that day I went to Petco they were out of it:confused: I have to keep checking..

Well, as one vet said, a dog will never starve himself! I would still mix them or leave the wellness in the bowl until he eats it and he will if he gets hungry enough. Or try mixing a little tuna (very small amount just enough to coat both kibbles) with the two dog foods so that he is after the tuna and doesn't care which kibble he is eating. You have to be tricky with a smart one like Nemo! LOL You only have to mix stuff with the kibbles for a week so be creative maybe with cooked fresh vegetables that you can really get mashed into the kibbles so again he doesn't want to pick out the kibble but wants the fresh veggies! Just a suggestion.

That's good to hear that Nemo has taken to the new food.

When I introduced the Eagle Pack kibble to Scrappy I used a little of the spring water off the Tuna and mixed it thru the kibble. :)

I'm glad Mia likes it! LB loves her Duck and Potato kibble. I don't think she likes the biscuit treats too much though.

I have my two on a mix of natural balance "complete and balance for all breeds & life stages" (the blue & white bag) and merrick's puppyplate. Should I be feeding them the duck & potato instead?

The only reason I mix the two is because I had started Scoobie on Merrick at first and had so much left when I wanted to switch to NB so I just mixed it for the variety. When its gone they will be on NB only.

I don't see a problem by switching them around either.Nemo is on Duck and Potato, but after this I may try the Venison or Sweet Potato and Fish..
So far he likes the NB alot, so I can't ask for much more..:)

I prefer mixing the Natural Balance Venison/br. rice with the duck/potato so they get both each feeding! I really like their products and it does reduce the amount of potty breaks!!!! They are both doing great on it!!!:)

For some reason, my furbaby won't eat the dry NB...She only likes the NB rolls or the canned. I've tried to get her to eat the dry NB, but she just won't. So we use the Merrick GPP dry, but she'll only eat it as long as I mix in a bit of the NB canned or Merrick canned.

No not really a big reason. I just heard so many good things from other people with Maltese regarding this brand. So I thought maybe I should. Scoobie did just fine on Merrick's. The only difference I've notice is that the poops aren't as smelly now that I've mixed in NB. They were when he was solely eatting Merricks.

He has himself on a great schedule too, he gets up with my son at 6:15 am to eat breakfast, goes out and does his pee and poop, comes to my bed for 30 min more and gets up with me at 7 pm. He's good to go till my husband comes home around 10:30 and he usually does more pee and then does one more poop for the night after his dinner.

:D Thats what I love the "POOP" aspect of it! Don't get me wrong Nemo did excellent on Wellness and it's a great food, but good Lord he was going 4 or 5 times a day, it really was becoming a bit much! Now it's 2x a day and I am really so happy!!:p
