My Rags past a couple of weeks ago! I joined this group because of him, when he past I had a hard time coming back on here! Though people on here are so sweet and friendly I know Rags would want me here! He was the love of my life for the last 9 years. I found him when he was around 8 years old! I found out last year he had a bee bee lodged in his hip! He had half his teeth missing and a chip out of his tongue when I found him. I can't imagine what the poor boy went through before finding me! He was so well behaved, yet no one claimed him! We were inseparable up until a year ago, when the vet said he had dementia I spent the last year with a strange puppy, he didn't really respond to me, I think that hurt me more then anything! I never stopped loving him, though he was a different pup last year! I thought the day he went to the rainbow bridge I would be prepared but I wasn't!

Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Rags.:( Sounds like he was a wonderful companion and how wonderful he had you to care for and love him for the last 9 years and made him happy!! I know it seems unbearable at the moment; like a piece of your heart has been ripped away but with time, you will be able to focus on the positive things and happy time you shared with Rags and not on his passing. He would want you to remember him for all the positive things he has brought to your life.

I am so sorry that Rags had to leave for the Rainbow Bridge to begin a new journey. How wonderful that you found Rags and give him the most loving years of his life. He found out what love was all about with you. Even though his dementia couldn't let him be himself I feel he still knew you and always felt safe. I know you will treasure every memory that Rags has given you and one day Rags will greet you again with his tail wagging. What a wonderful day that will be.

so very sorry to hear of your loss. You were meant to come into his life and give him the wonderful home that you did. I believe all our animals were meant for us and you did a great thing for him, giving him a soft place for his final years.May you both be lifted up......
