I actually am a breeder, loved and owned by my babies. I will love to intro them, Furbee, Ziggy, Angel, Biscuitt, Sampson,Deliah, Lilly,Mr. Pippy just to mention a few. I am totally addicted. We bred pugs for more than 20 years.
I was forced to retire early due to a dibliating disease called REflex Sympathic Dystorphy. My Maltese began taking care of me! They really do to. They got me out of a wheel chair with their love and the grace of God.
I know each one of my little ones bark from the other. They are just like the little children I did not have. I was blessed with one son who is now grown, but I always wanted more. Now I tell everyone we have the perfect children.
I really enjoy the entire process, breeding, I laydown right beside my moms I like to think I feel the labor with them as I look into there little eyes and stroke them. I am with them all the way. I like seeing and meeting the new owners and keeping in touch with them. I have met some really nice folks.
( You need to be just that for one of my babies) It is hard to send them off, but I know how hard it was for me to find a really well bred baby in the beginning and now that is what I feel I can contribute.
Thanks me,
Cathy & furbabies

I can attest to the love and devotion Cathy has for her Maltese fur babies. Our family adopted Bailey from Cathy on 30 Dec 2004 (Cathy of clmaltese Brewton, AL). Bailey is lovable, smart, playful, and I sometimes forget he is a fur kid instead of a real one. Bailey’s mom is Angel and his dad is Furbee.

I too can attest to Cathy's care for her furbabies. She has been wonderful since we got Cali the week after Christmas 2004. In fact, I believe Cali and Bailey must be littermates because Cali's parents are the same. :) Cali has added so much joy to our lives, it is amazing how big her personality is for such a little girl!

Hi Cathy,
Glad you made it here. I see Cali's mom, Bambi, too. I send a note to one of the moderators (Kristi ? I will have to look back and see what her name is) the other day and gave her your name. She is looking for a new baby.

Hi Cali's New Mom,

It's a small Maltese world finding not so long lost relatives. I tried to explain to Bailey that his sister's name is Cali and got a big kiss on my nose. ;) I guess that meant he understood. It's easier doing genealogy with fur kids than people.

Anytime I stand up Bailey will run ahead of me and make me chase him in the living room around all the furniture. When he gets tired he will go belly up and make me tickle him. Bailey loves to hold a ball, bone, anything to one side of his mouth while I'm chasing him. When he wants to play, he'll also take a small tennis ball in his mouth and nudge it against my leg, then step back to see if I understood and then take off running. He will turn his head to see if I'm keeping up and will slow down if I'm not. When we are outside playing, his time out is to lie down across the monkey grass.

Hi Cathy. WElcome to Maltese Talk. I would love to hear more about your babies. I plan to check out your site and photos right now.

Thanks for referring me Sassy's Mommy. I am not really in a rush to get a Maltese very soon, but I want to have an idea of some good Maltese breeders and breeding programs. :p Yes, I am looking for a female to add to my family.

Welcome to the group. You sound like a very loving and caring breeder. I will say that my malt has a very calming affect on me..he's always there for me..always beside me..as if its his sole mission to be there waiting patiently for my needs. He has such a soothing affect and when we go to sleep at night he just gets up beside me and snuggles close to keep me warm.

yes, I really do love my Maltese. The best is they love me back. If not for them kissing away my tears when I cry, they really do seem to smile at me when we play also.
Blessings to all,
Cathy
