Thought I would let you all know what I have been doing since I haven't been on MT lately.

I have been working with the Animal Cruelty Investigator of Hot Springs Co and last week there was a raid and 34 dogs were seized here is a link to the article

http://www.malvern-online.com/

they said it was the worst this county had seen and charges will be filed. Most were poodles but a couple of chins a poodle rescue from Houston came and took about 20 something of the poodles the rest are in foster homes in my area.

The pic of the poodle being carried out is one of the worst she has no use of her hind legs due to being in a very small crate for way to long and being bred to death...after being cleaned up this is what her legs look like...we are going to try to find her a "cart" to fit her.

Oh Belinda, bless your little heart for taking such a positive interest in stopping the cruelty of such fluffs. It breaks my heart to see how this particular rescue from a puppy mill has resulted in permanent handicaps. I don't think there is still enough information or people involved to ever stop this puppymill stuff going on. They find them, take the dogs, but the people get a slap on the hand, a small fine (if any) and told not to do it again. What do they do? Go somewhere else and start all over. Why? Because there are still people and pet shops buying their dogs and they are making money at the expense of these innocent little fluffs. It is so very sad! :( :( :(

It is a vicious cycle shut one down they just move somewhere else

Arkansas has recently passed a law that makes animal cruelty/neglect/abuse a felony the first time you get caught

God bless all those in resuce. Rosie just makes me cry.. Even seeing her now just thinking what she had to go through to get to this point.. No animal deserves that.

I'm SO glad she's found peace in her life and I hope she lives a LONG HAPPY life..

Thanks for the update on Rosie...........she does indeed look like she is happy and probably for the first time in her life "loved." A whole new world is waiting for her and I am so glad that you got her started on that new road to being a spoiled fluff. What a "huge" difference in Rosie from the first picture of her being carried out of that horrible place and now. It is an amazing story of her courage, strength and will to live. Even after all she has been through, she looks like she has a wonderful personality. Thanks for all you do in behalf of Rosie and other fluffs you foster and help with! You are a GEM, Belinda and don't you ever forget it!!!!:hearter:

I got an update on Rosie this afternoon and it wasn't as good as we had hoped for but no one is giving up on her we have several possibilities to work with..the surgeon that saw her today says Rosie's legs are the worst he has ever seen so we are just going to regroup and find the best way for Rosie Options are 1-surgery that would be extensive and recovery/rehab would be long and painful and may not work after all of this. Option 2 is amputate both legs at the knee and fit her with prosthesis and Option 3 is do nothing to the legs and fit her with a doggie wheel cart...everyone involved feels Rosie deserves the best that we can do and we want to make the right decision for Rosie...please keep Rosie and all that are involved in the decision making and the hands on care make the right decision for Rosie.

I'm really glad that their are options for little Rosie and hope that whatever option is chosen that she will be a happy and contented little girl to live out her life free of the horrible life of a puppymill! Just the fact that she looks so much better and happier is wonderful. I can only imagine how she will blossom when she is fixed up and ready to move on far away from her puppymill memories. Please keep us updated.......and again, you are a gem, Belinda!!

I am very happy that this little girl has so many people looking out for her future!
I am sure that whomever gets her will be a very lucky mom/dad as these babies do love unconditionally no matter where they come from

Thank you Belinda for the update and for all the hard work you put into those little ones!

And yes, she does look so much better!

I can't stop crying looking at Rosie!!! What horrid conditions for all those innocent dogs to live in. Thank God your group was there to rescue them and I know you will help Rosie in her hour of need.
Belinda, you and your whole group are angels and I am so proud to know you and that you are sharing this with the MT family.
The word needs to get out across the nation, the whole world, and I do think pictures sometimes tell a better story.
Maybe your group should contact Oprah and she could do another segment on the still striving puppy mill people and if more people saw Rosie's story the gov. just might get more involved and stop this slap on the wrist and turn the other way attitude.
God bless you all.
