Ok I am getting on here way to much, but you all seem to be so intune with this breed. I took a stool sample in to the vet this morning, it was pretty sft and really stinky. They tested it and found nothing but what may or may not be tape worm tiny eggs , but it could also be nothing, We put Benny on organic chicken and rice for 3 days and they may want to change his food to science diet? or something easier on the tummy. He has had an increased appitite the past few days, I think its a growth spurt he feels heavier to me. is this common, they said they usually get that sort of thing from eating rabbits, and frankly James Bond (my bun) is in his hutch and it is more likely he would eat Benny! Do you think I am obsessed with my puppy?: lol G-d I feel like I am more neurotic about him then my kids:lol2: Thanks for all the great support.

If your worried about worms it can't hurt to go ahead and have him treated just to be sure. As far as science diet, I feel there are alot better foods out there. Science diet has also been known to cause seizures because of the preservative they use. It may also be your Benny's stools are soft because he needs more fiber.. When buying food check the labels and see what percent of fiber it has and just get a food with a higher fiber count. We had that problem with our Weimaraner and his stools were so soft that he was not able to express his glands so now we have them done every so often.

Trust me were all obssessed with these babies, ours or yours :tounge: This gets addicting, you've been warned :D

SD is corn based and there was some info a while back concerned about the pesticides used to treat the corn. SD spends thousands annually on research but I still do not feed SD.

Not a fan of Science Diet either. Deworming him won't hurt either. I think the majority of us are obsessed with these little guys.

Never heard of Blue or Pet Promise.

Both my girls are on deworming meds. My vet started recommending year round treatment when I took the girls in for their heartworm blood tests.

I obsess about both girls..do they pee enough? Is their poop firm enough? Did they both poop twice today? Are their kidneys/liver/heart/tracheas/etc. ok?

I am not a worrier by nature and these girls just bring it out in me I guess. Good thing we don't have kids without fur huh?

Sassy eats Natural Balance Venison and Sweet Potato.

I feed the Natural Balance Venison and Sweet Potato mixed with Wellness Weight Management since mine get very little exercise.........only inside activities.

I am not a fan of Science Diet either......nor of grocery store dog food products. JMHO

Thanks for the info on SD . Benny is ravenous for this organic chickenn and rice I made him. YUM I may have another poop sample done. I think he may be going through a growth spurt:).I will suggest NB to the vet. I wonder if because he is so hungry the Eukanuba is just too much for his system. It feels like he gained weight. He is really chowing down!

Tcarnegie had a similar problem with her Jasper..........he would really eat everything she would put down, gained too much weight on it and ended up having to change foods. The vet said that particular food was too much for his system to handle and once switched, he lost his tummy and is fine.
