Hi:

Babe is still w/ me. We have the afternoon grooming sessions; but he still wants to squirm; whine; talk; anything but be groomed.

I've tried the play time prior to; reward w/ treats; and the offer of $$$. And of course talking him through it w/ praise.

I get timid w/ him. He wants his grooming at bedtime.

I have lots of patience; and no Rome wasn't built in a day; what am I doing wrong?

Before I order a line of grooming items I need to master control of him to cooperate a little. I wanted to see if I could let his coat grow out fully--it's about 3 1/2" now.

Any opinion on "Pure Paws" line of products?

I feel :tired:

Or do I give in to a puppy cut?:(

Interviewing groomers--How do I know who actually would be grooming him; what if they made promises then had a trainee groom him. Nor wouldn't let me stay w/ him to watch?

I personally have no confidence in groomers to do just as you ask them to do. Ask them to take and inch off and they take two! I think with patience, Babe will come around and accept the grooming ritual. I've been doing my own grooming for 2 1/2 years on Kallie and she still does not like her feet done but that is so minor. I just talk to her when I do the feet and maybe I will do like Kanga and start singing to her. That way the sooner she lets me get her feet done the sooner she will stop having to listen to my singing.

I haven't sung yet. I make animal noises for him--kittens; ducks; etc. And he looks at me like I'm nuts turning his head from side to side!

The funniest thing is to see me on my hands and knees playing fetch w/ him if he doesn't bring the ball back. I need knee guards.
