As I sat here wondering where to send Tobey, I got to thinking, who would be best than someone who already owns one or is in love with Maltese.

Tobey is six months old, partly potty trained, not registered, and is a sweet dog. He is eating Chicken Soup (He recently went back to it, silly dog), and is around 5-6 pounds. I have all the things he needs. I live in Terre Haute, IN and am new on shipping pets. If anyone is interested in him and might know a thing or two about this, let me know.

He isn't for sale, he just needs a good home.

Good luck in finding Tobey a home..
It would be wonderful if he could go to a MT member

I thought you had found a home for him already???? Did I read the post wrong the other day or something change??

Wow, this is a tuff decision for you I am sure! But sometimes it is just a necessary thing when we don't have the circumstances to fit the needs of the fluff so don't beat yourself up about having to rehome; I have been there and done that.

Hopefully someone will see your sweet Tobey needs a home and offer to take him. Is he neutered??? Could you post more pictures of him???? Just be sure to check out the person who is interested in him before making the decision.

If you can't find anyone, I am sure that if you look into surrendering him to a "reputable" rescue, they will find him a great home...........they are tuff on adopters. Trust me, I know!!! I was turned down once because I did not give my fluffs the bordatella shot because I don't board them.......but they said with multiple dogs that go travel or frequent vets, grooming shops, etc. should be vaccinated. So on that bases I was turned down. So they really do check on references and vet information. That would be my only other suggestion.

As far as it being best for him to be placed with someone that already has a love for the breed...........we "all" know that once you have one of these fluffs in your life, it is instant love whether you have had one before or not!

I do hope you find him a great home so you can have peace of mind and he can be in a happy forever home!!!

I wish I could have a second malt...but when I tried a second yorkie it didn't work out so well and now dh won't hear of it. But I live near Evansville, IN and I will keep my ears open - we live close enough that you wouldn't have to ship him and I would be glad to help transport, if someone from southern Indiana or Kentucky is interested. Just let me know - I'd be glad to help however I can!
