Thought I would share this interesting fact I came across ........

Americans spent more than $38 billion on their pets last year. A large chunk of that went toward toys and other products.

How much did you contribute to that spending last year:D

I haven't a clue but I never go to the store without bringing something back whether it is treats or a toy for "each" of them. I don't buy clothes as they are a waste due to the long hair so I don't think I've spent an enormous amount!:D

And Aussies would spend the same amount IF they had as much available to buy as we do!!!:p :p :p :p

That's a lot of money but I'm not suprised. There are a variety of wonderful things out there. Our furbabies are part of our family and we would do anything to make them happy.

Whenever I go anywhere, I have to bring something back. A treat or a toy. LOL, I spend more on them than myself!!!!:D

Australia cannot be that far behind in the spending stakes....

As I found this ........ There are now more pets than children in Australia, according to IBISWorld research, with 8 million pets and only 4.8 million children.

WE actually have quite a lot of online Pet supply stores with a wide variety of clothing and toys, but they are all on the east coast with most being in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane so I always have to ship and sometimes the shipping within Au is the same as shipping from Hong Kong, Singapore or the States.... I read the same comments from other Aussies on forums and I just think they are not looking hard enough. (grass is always greener on the other side of the fence so to speak) There is an adorable denim shabby chic dog dress out there at the moment in the states which is exported from here. :D
