I'm again struggling w/ Babe. He is a discipline problem when he gets something in his mouth and won't drop it.
He refuses to be groomed. (I'm using short 5 min. sessions).
Training...he does not know basic commands. He's very stubborn.
I have him on a schedule during the day for eating; playing; grooming; etc.
I feel my approach w/ the schedule is proper. I wait for him to settle down when trying to groom him. He doesn't. He's easily distracted by any sound. I'm again trying to use music to soothe him. Not working.
And he bites when I approach him from the front since he went to have his nails cut on Thurs.
He's making me itch (from nerves).
He's teething, but the teeth coming in seem aligned.
I play w/ him frequently for the exercise and to tire him out.
Is this just a phase?
Those of you that have a rescue puppy or adult, and are re-training how are you doing this?
