need help putting a song on my profile page

hey can anyone tell me how to put a you tube song on my page?I keep trying and it wont work.:confused: Please help:(

I surely can!

Just follow this instructions and it should work but be sure that the youtube video allows embedding........or it will not work.:)

After you find a U-Tube video you would like to use, go to "User CP", and then choose "Edit you Details." At the bottom of the page it will say, "YouTube URL" , this is where you must paste the U-tube address, or URL, but it needs to be slightly changed before posting.

You have to do two things; first you have to totally remove the word "watch?" Secondly, you need to replace the "=" with a slash like this "/".
Here's a sample of an address:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFCnvH2E-6A

After you remove the word "watch?" and replace the "=" with a "/". You will have this address:

http://www.youtube.com/v/oFCnvH2E-6A.

Then just title the U-tube and put "&autoplay=1" in the slot provided if you want it to automatically play when you or a person visits your profile page.

Ok lets see if I can help you this way. Say you wanted this song..
You would copy the URL
then paste it , it would look like this :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpiwPXkbVc
Now you have to take the = sign out and replace it with a / . Then remove the question mark and the word watch. So now it would look like this


http://www.youtube.com/v/hpiwPXkbVc
It's not confusing, it's the explanation on how to do it that is confusing
Just remove = sign , ?, the word watch and you will have /v/ .
Try it again , you will get it.

If you will post the youtube code here in this thread, I will make the changes and send it to you in a PM; then all you have to do is copy and paste it in the spot on your page.............just don't forget the code for the &autoplay=1 beneath the area you have placed the youtube code so it will play when someone visits your page. :)

I understand completely but it's just not working.I did it just like you said over and over again.I also cut and paste from you tube all the time but it's just not working this time.It must be something else.

Try another song.
Some of the videos don't work and you just have to find a different video or a new song

I pretty much gave up getting my profile pic to work and my music. I do understand what you guys have been saying. All the videos I tried do not work.I'll try again when i'm not so frustrated with it.

you can just look under their signature and it says "profile" "PM", etc... does that help?
