I voted every other day because as much as I wish I did walk her everyday I just don't have the time anymore. I used to walk her everyday (sometimes twice) but now I just don't have time so she spends a little more time in the backyard playing

Walking with her is one of my favorite things to do

Jack talks a walk with daddy in the morning and then my son takes him when he gets home from work.

I walk the girls twice a day (weather permitting..they get lots of playing fetch inside and training in the winter up here at the North Pole).

Never............until a few weeks ago Sassy was in full coat. Now that I have cut it I only take her out back to walk around on the pool cool deck, but we don't really walk.

I take my 2 for a walk around the yard 2 or 3 times a week. They do get to play in the backyard though any day that weather permits.

Mine have freedom around the pool lanai and they walk the backyard which is pretty good size but to walk formally........NEVER! But I have collars, leashes and harness ready to go should I want to!

I voted other.

I hate to admit I don't actually take Vincent for a walk. I live out of town on a very busy road. Here I would no choice but to walk him on the road. I am not comfortable with that. The side of the road is full of pea gravel.. don't want him to hurt his little paws on the gravel, plus there is oil and stuff from the cars.. so no walking here at home. I do have fenced in yard he loves to run and play in. I take him outside daily for a play session.
I also play with him inside. He loves to chase his ball inside or outside! Believe me he gets a lot of exercise.
I also take him with me when I can. At those times he is usually carried. Unless its at a car show or park. Then he walks off and on.
Bring out his harness and leash and he is a happy boy! He knows he is going somewhere with Mom!

Maybe once a week. Nemo is trained on pads, but he does go out in the yard several times a day! :D

When the weather was nicer, I was taking her for walks around the block almost every day. She loves it, and so do I. The weather had been so crummy (raining and even sleet/snow one day in October), it has to be weather permitting. But she goes out on a leash with us many times a day every day and loves to play in the leaves. We have a 6 foot leash, and if I stand still in the back yard, she'll run around me in circles, and I hold the leash over my head - that's a lot of fun! I learned to hold the leash over my head after moving in circles with her and got so dizzy, I fell on my butt! :lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2: Word to the wise :p

I make with Ullana two or three small walks per day, but it depends on the weather. :pawprnts:
We have these rituals starting in the morning before work. She is already waiting in front of the door.
Later for lunchtime a short break with walking or playing in the garden. In the evening again her favourite walk around the block! :dogwalk:
In summer, if it's hot, she only stays in our garden! An in wintertime we do the same. :snow:

It's crazy weather out here in Houston and JiJi doesn't like the sun or the rain and I'm scared when it's cold. But she loves running inside the house until she wears herself out. They've told me she looks like she's on crack when she does her lighting speed run. She gets plenty of exercise inside.

I had to go with "never"...Emma and I go for walks, but her paws never touch the ground!! I freely admit that I'm super overprotective of my baby. I make sure that she gets lots of exercise inside though (she certainly wears me out!) Chasing my mom's little Yorkie is one of her favorite "games"...it's especially funny when they reverse and the Yorkie ends up chasing her instead!

I went with other but I don't really walk them per say. They go out three times a day for their business and a little running around in the yard. I live on a busy street and don't walk them on the road. They love to play in the yard and especially chasing each other in the house until they wear out. I do have to take them out one at a time, as together they chase each other so, they don't tend to business. Duke will grab Duchess's leash and hang on holding her so she can't move! They're much easier if we go out one at a time. This also gives us one on one time. Duke is very much a bully and hogs all the attention. Duchess shies away if Duke is around. He is very much the alpha dog.
