Ok so I saw an ad in today's paper selling MI-KI pups and it read like this:

MI-KI PUPS
Rare Pure Toy Breed, 4-8 Lbs.
Exceptional personalities. friendly, playful, huggable & lovable. Non-shedding lap dogs that fit all types of life styles. Vet Checked & health guarantee and then ph. **********.

So my question is, what kind of dog is this????:confused: Anybody have a clue????:confused:

Here's what I could find:

Mi-Kis are intelligent, loving, accepting of others, and gentle. They share ancestry with the Papillon, Maltese, & Japanese Chin

So is this a recognized breed with the AKC?

Now Im confused...lol

Another mixed breed. I've seen the Mi-Ki site with pictures. They've mixed several toy breeds together & they come in an aray of colors. I saw an adorable little dog at the groomers one time. I tried to figure out what breed he was,but it was inpossible. He was solid white, about 12 lbs, slightly wavy hair, short muzzle, big round dark eyes, sturdy build. I finally asked the groomer & she said he's a "TeddyBear", a new breed. A mix of Maltese,Shih-Tzu,Poodle,Bichon,& I burst out laughing. The "breeder" lives one town over. He was adorable though, except his bottom teeth overlapped his upper teeth, giving him a sorta bulldog expression.

I have seen breeder advertisements in Dog Fancy for that breed. I have always wondered where they were from.
