I am making myself sick with worry. I will be doggy sitting Ceiba's only brother, Ace for a few days and I'm worried that well....he will be a bad influence on her. :embarass:
You see, we have Ceiba on a regular schedule/routine and I'm afraid her brother will get her off track! She goes to bed between 8:30 - 9pm and he doesn't have a bed time. She doesn't whine when she's in her gated area - he whines and cries. She hardly ever barks and he is a CONSTANT barker (I don't want her to learn she can do that too!!!) And aside from that, she has learned how to 'sit' 'stay' 'come' and doing better at 'drop it' and he doesn't know squat! Will she become less obedient by hanging out with her brother so much?!
Then I'm worried that she will get used to her brother again and that she will be sad/depressed when he has to leave again.
Any insight/comments/suggestions?! Help! ;)

Awww don't worry. I think that maybe Ceiba will be a good influence over her brother! She may be able to teach him a few things versus him teaching her things:) Don't worry. How long will you be dog sitting for?

I guess a lot depends on how LONG you will be pet sitting. Personally, I would not worry............she will not pick up his bad habits that quick and dogs are smart, she'll be fine!:) Kallie didn't pick up any of Toby's bad habits when we brought him home. He picked up all of her good habits!

I hope you guys are right! Hopefully all our training and hard work won't go to waste! :) We will be doggy sitting through Sunday at the earliest (maybe Monday) while his parents (my inlaws!) are out of town. I sincerely hope that it's the other way around and that Ace picks up a few good habits!
We are supposed to go on vacation Easter weekend and I initially intended to take Ceiba with us, but my husband's grandfather has a Maltese there (Angel) and she is very timid. Ceiba is pretty fearless, would probably put Angel in a tizzy and we probably wouldn't get invited back after a visit from Ceiba! My inlaws have offered to doggy sit for us, but I'm already dreading leaving my baby!! :(

Awww keeping the pup till Sunday is not too bad. I think it will be ok:) As far as her going with your husband's grandfather, I think that you should put the two around each other here and there now so that they can get used to each other and then by the time its time for your trip, you can still leave Ceiba with your husband's grandfather:) If not I think it will be fine to leave her with your inlaws. You will pretty much know after you see the two together this time when you dog sit until Sunday! Stop worrying. Everything will be fine:D

Ace is here with us now, but he went to the Vet before coming over. He is VERY sore (shots!) and we can't even pick him up w/o him yelping. Ceiba really wants to play with him, but he's just laying there in his little crate. He looks so sad!! Hopefully he will feel better in the morning and they can play together. So far, so good! ;)
