A 4 year old Siberian Husky is the 1st canine to receive a permanent prostheses. The dog was formly abused and was an amputee. They did prostetic implant surgeries and the Husky got custom made artificial legs. He is now able to walk and run and live like a normal dog. It was a 3-phase prodecure and involved his 2 hind legs.
It is just wonderful what they have come up with to enhance the quality of life for animals.
