My Biscuit passed away tonight...she was 10 years old and suffered from seizures once in a while. She took Samee to help with her liver enzimes. She was fine this morning. I held her and cried all the way to the vets. She passed just as he started to examine her. He thinks she had liver failure.
i don't know how I can go on without her. I am 75 and a widow that lives alone. She was my best friend, my companion and she loved me through all the ups and downs in the past 10 years.....I AM HEARTBROKEN

Thank You for your kind thoughts and words.

I did not sleep at all last night.. Biscuit did everything with me...even sat on my lap while I was on the computer..The hardest part is that she was fine at 1 in the afternoon. I was busy doing some sewing in the afternoon and can't remember if she was in the room with me. She usually comes into the hall when she hears me getting ready to go out because I give her a treat. She didn't come out and I thought she must be sleeping. When I got back 2 hours later, there she was limp and not responsive at all. A while back she had a few small seizures and she was on Samee to help with her liver enzimes. I did not have a clue yesterday that this was coming. I am glad that I came home in time to hold her and take her to the emergency vet. I knew she was dying and pleaded with God to let her stay for a little while longer. I hope in the end she heard my sobs and prayers and knew how much I love her...The vet was not my usual one (a totally different office) and upon examing her, said he thinks her liver shut down....
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO....SHE IS ALL OVER MY HOUSE AND I SEE HER EVERYWHERE....PLEASE PRAY THAT I CAN GO ON....

I really know how you feel. It is a terrible feeling and you just can't make it go away. Biscuit knew how much you love her and she will always be in your heart. You and Biscuit will be in my prayers. Please come to our board anytime you want to "talk". I honestly believe that God has a special place for little pets like Biscuit. Jan and Sparky ( Kringle is in heaven too. He died at the age of 10 of kidney failure. )

I am so sorry. You did everything you could. She was very loved. My son who has cerebral palsy lives with my mom. He had a little shih tzu for 12 years and we had to have her put to sleep a few days after Christmas. I will pray for your strength to get through this.:justahug:

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing our babies is never easy. The last year I lost two. So I do know your pain.

Biscuit was a special soul. Treasure your memories.
I know she will never be forgotten, but getting my Vincent after my loss was the best thing I could have done. Love heals us. Helps us to go on.

Thinking of you with care and understanding.

:(So happy that you had such a great companion, as did I...my Lucky passed at 13 1/2 yrs...have grieved very much...getting better but have him in my heart and think of all the fond memories...it soothes a bit...it has been since 7/31/08 and I still feel he is here with me....I do have a Maltese who grieved for him and is also getting better about it....after all she had been with him 11 yrs...I will not get another Yorkie, altho that would be my only choice, as no other could replace him and I am getting older and do not wish to leave a pet that someone might not take care of...I will go thru grief again with my Monique, as she has a heart condition, but you'd never know it...she is taking medication, but am prepared, I think, as I wasn't for Lucky's death....please accept my condolences...Ruaga

I'm so sorry for your loss. I do believe that she is looking down at you from the rainbow bridge. She is no longer in pain and is happy up there with the rest of the fluffs. I don't think she would want you to be so distraught. Her spirit will live all around you.
