Well Reggie will pee when told, Max is housebroken and rarely do we have accidents but if we do its just a fast clean up and move on. He is very vocal about when he needs to go potty. He knows when we go outside to potty right away so we can get one with our walk or other fun thing's.
If he has a accident it is normally my fault, puppies cant wait that "Oh just wait five minutes" we want them to during training always ![]() I think each dog is different on time frame. Make sure to bring her to same area you want her to potty, use same command each time and praise the heck out of her when she does, she will catch on. Mine get sick of treats fast and I like working off praise or a special toy for a reward, that's just a personal thing with me. Treats I save for a super high value reward. Keep at it and you will have her trained in no time! Just remember keep it positive and make a huge fuss when she does do it and ignore it and no scolding if she has a accident. I'm teaching mine to do this...My old dog would pee on command.
Boomer is nearly there, and Muffin is almost there. What I do is say "hurry up", but your phrase is good too. I say it before they "go". During the potty...I say in a high pitched voice "good hurry up good" then a treat. or yours would be "good go potty good" then a treat. I think you've got it though. It's really helpful when you need them to "go" at that moment.

Raley will do it on command "sometimes". If I can tell he needs to go and is not going straight to the pee pad, I'll tell him to "go potty" and he will. He will also do it when we are traveling and take him out for a potty break!

I had to re-potty train Tink after her last illness. I took her out about 10 minutes after she drank her water and told her in a very excited voice "Go potty for mama, come on baby, go potty." Took about 2 weeks and now she goes everytime I say that. She'll even do it on the potty pad if it's pouring outside or it's in the middle of the night when I can't get up quickly enough to take her outside. I can just say our little mantra and off she goes to the potty pad just inside the bathroom door.
She has some challenges because of her illness so sometimes when I can tell it's gonna be a tough night for her, I put a diper on her. But she's good during the day to go sit in front of the door and stare at me when she needs to go out.

I have one that will pee on command (Zoe) and she has been potty trained since she was 6 months old. I bell trained her. There is a bell on a suction cup on my back door and when I was training her, I would ring the bell and say "Wanna go potty?", let her outside, encourage her to pee, praise her like I was looney, and then give treats once we go inside (after she was sitting..I was killing two birds with one stone). Then, she learned to ring the bell when she wanted to go outside and we were in business.Awesome, right?
Then her little sister came around. Same routine..entirely different results. Wanna know why? Abbie is a like a camel. She pees once or twice a day for a long period of time. Zoe pees a little but often. In addition, Abbie is so easily distracted outside..leaves, birds, grass..you name it. And if it is raining, Abbie doesn't want to get her feet wet so she will stand out there and get wetter and wetter while Miss Zoe has figured out if she pees quick, she gets back inside quick. Good luck to you. The bell training may help..or you may have a camel like my Abbie. ![]()

Hey..that camel has been driving my crazy for 2 years. ![]() I took her to the vet after we got her because I just knew there was something wrong with her kidneys. My vet said you shouldn't compare your dogs to each other..but seriously..I was worried. Turns out she's a stubborn camel pee dog (she has camel syndrome).![]()

I have two that will ring bells when they have to go, one that begs sitting up flapping her front paws and "THEN" there is Toby. He sounds like a car when you are trying to start up the engine......hysterically funny to say the least. I "ALWAYS" give treats to them for doing their business outside.....and I have to admit, when one goes they all go. It's like they follow each other around and pee over the first one that pees.......sort of a chain reaction. To the OP: Yep you are doing right as far as I am concerned to getting them outside trained. I do differentiate between "go pee" and "go poop" and they get a few "extra" treats for doing the poop!!! I make their treats so the treats are tiny so they don't gain a lot of extra weight from them. That would be the only draw back to giving them treats every time they go potty outside so I started making my own so I could make sure they were low in calories and small bites. ![]() Do you have any idea why she is refusing her treats?????

My little one does this. Right before bedtime I bring him to the pad and say do wee wee....he looks at me and then he goes. Sometimes when I think it's been quite a while of him not going and I haven't walked him I tell him do wee wee and he does. I don't think it will take you and your little one to do this. Yep treats will help when starting the training.
