Mama cut our hair

The boys were first of all not happy about hair cuts. They were even less happy about me trying to take their pictures. I chased them around with the camera and these were the best I got.

Awwwww, they look great! Mine shy from pictures too..........crazy dogs. I'm sort of in the middle of cutting mine down as well and bathing. It's a job for sure. You use scissors or electric shaver?

I use a combo of both. Shaver for the body and I do one swipe with the shaver down the top middle of their head (front to back). Face and ears are scissors. Any trimming around the eyes I use baby blunt end scissors. Legs - depends. I usually scissor the legs as they don't like the shaver there. And if I make a mistake I use thinning shears to blend the oops. (Worst case scenario - hair grows back )

Long hair is pretty. However, the boys are active. They run around a lot. Bentley and Ollie wrestle with each other. I would have to spend all day, every day grooming to keep the mats at bay.

I certainly understand about the long hair grooming.........there is nothing more beautiful than a Maltese in full coat but oh the work! I kept mine long for most of their lives, they were younger and so was I. So figured it was time to give us both a break.
