Spay/Neuter Certificates

There may be spay/neuter certificates available in your area or in a nearby city/town, just type in your zip code to check!

http://www.friendsofanimals.org/prog...ter/index.html

Also check to see it there is SNAP program through your local humane society to help pay for spay/neuters

Ok I am confused. If you present the certificate to your vet are they supposed to give a discount?(to late) We do have a prevent a liter here for $35.00 spay or neuter. I wanted the baseline bloodwork so my vet did it, gee I never heard of it. If that s what it's for than itis well worth it.

Good posting!!! I have a "clinic" that does it for $35 for dogs but I prefer to use my vet for spaying........just my little thing!!! But I do use them for all their shots and tests for heartworms and also get their meds there for "HUGE" savings. Of course when one of the fluffs gets sick, I take them to their personal vet and not to the clinic and will always do that as long as I have the money for it. But they are seldom sick except lately for Mr. Toby!

But I have heard of the program you are talking about. Most dog pounds also will refund you the cost of the nueter/spay when you adopt from them. At least the one my mother got her little maltipoo from so it cost her nothing but the cost of the dog! That might be something others can also check into as well. She was able to pick the vet to do the surgery as well.

You might try calling your local pound or ASPCA to get some input. We have a clinic a township away from us and there is a huge difference in cost to spay/neuter and shots/meds. It is certainly worth looking to see if one if nearby you.

I used the FoA coupon for Ava. they mail you a coupon and you bring it to the vet with you. (not all vets accept the coupons) and they just charge you for medical waste disposal and i think they charged me for anesthesia but it was over a year ago and i don't really remember haha!
