fast eater!

my baby just turned one. when i got her 2 months ago, she was still on puppy food which was science diet. After her birthday i changed her to taste of the wild. she ate the science diet at a normal pace but she LOVES this food taste of the wild. she eats fast and wants more. i ordered her a slow bowl from amazon that will be in today, so hopefully that will help.
but im wondering if any of your maltese eat like that?

None of my Maltese really eat fast but my Yorkie is a fast eater. I have four dogs and I feed the Yorkie last but he finishes first......eats very fast. Please let me know how the slow bowl works out.

Jack is a very fast eater. I swear he just inhales it all and doesn't chew anything!

Charlie is not a fast eater. Today he ate 3 shrimps and as of yet has not touched his own food (who is people food too : beef with rice and veggies). Will have to put it back in the fridge in 5 minutes. It's now 1:43 pm.

Tebow, Bentley and Ollie approved! I have these three "toys". As long as your kibble is small, they work great. Slows down the eating and makes a game of it. Not sure the links will work unless you cut and past into the address bar. Or just google the name of the toy.

Eating at my home is a process. It takes about an hour. Each start with their own bowl of food. Then, they have to check out all the bowls to make sure everyone has the same food. It is a nibble here and there. The only time they eat fast is when it comes from my plate. ha. My guys eat better in the winter. They do love their mixers at treat time. Their food is somewhat like a Mom trying to get her children to eat veggies. ha.

All mine are slow dry food eaters. Come food from my kitchen they are all dashing like crazy wild animals. JiJi and Lil'Man do not chew just swallow.
