Maltese breed and seizures

My 12-year old mini-Maltese has started having seizures during the night. She had been to the vet to diagnose and rule certain things out and is now on an anti-seizure medication. I was happy to see it working but last night she had another seizure and it took longer than usual for her to relax afterward and settle down to her normal state.
Does anyone else experience seizures with their Maltese?
Does anyone know if a Pedialyte-type of water for dogs? I'm wondering if her electrolyte levels are down and that's causing the seizures.

I have no experience with seizure since I never had a dog who had them. Does your vet know what is causing the seizure ?
Maybe you could try CBD oil. Apparently it helps kids with seizures, it might help dogs too. Google CBD oil to learn more about it.

I hope someone can help you find some answers. That must be so scary for both you and your baby.

I just remember that my daughter's shi tzu started having seizure at the same age, 12 years old. Her vet suspected a tumor in her brain. To be sure she could have an MRI done. Vet did not push for it because of the price and if true there was nothing she could do about it. She was put on medicine but it got worse. At the end my daughter let her go. It also started at night. She peed in the bed. At first my daughter thought maybe she had bad dreams. She did not see when it happened, just that the bed was wet in the morning.

Wish I knew the answer but no experience with seizures. I hope you are able to find out the cause and solution.
