Found Dog in the Neighborhood

I was hoping to write this when I found the owners but nobody has claim the pooch. Found him a few weeks ago and I have been putting posters out and keeping an eye for lost dog posters. I have looked in shelters websites for lost dogs but nothing. His very friendly but I don't believe his neutered and still somewhat of a pup. He looked like he was well taken care of and groomed. So I believe his owners did want him. I'm going to go see if his microchip but since he isn't neutered I doubt he is.

Any advice on how to find the owners? I believe his a bichon and a hyper one at that. Lil' Man will not allow Big Boy to get near the girls. I will groom him hopefully next week and take a good pic of him but since his being playing with Lil' Man he looks rough around the edges. His a sweetheart and half way potty train. He will do business inside but not on the right spot. It's a problem because he is alot bigger then all of mine. I would say his 20lbs. All mine are potty train at least to go in the pads if they need to go inside. Lil' Man has to go outside or he doesn't feel like a man

You are doing everything I would do to try to locate the owners so don't think there is much more that you can do........I would check to see if he is micro chipped and go from there. If nothing else try to locate a local "rescue" or non-kill shelter.

I would be in such a panic mode if one of mine went missing and would be out looking for them.

He looks so cute in his 'jumping' mode picture!!! I agree with Carol, you are doing all you can right now and I agree with finding a rescue or no kill shelter. Hopefully he is microchipped and his family is looking for him.

He's definitely an energetic jumper. I would also try posting online onto Lost Dog sites within the Houston area. I know you're doing the best and that he is in great care. I hope he finds it back home into the safety of his owner's hands. Good luck!

Gosh you are doing everything right. The only other thing I can think off is maybe contacting the local news station to see if they would post his picture on the news with you as a contact. They do that here.

Take him to the local vet and maybe someone will recognize him. Check your newspaper and it is free to put in a found dog ad

Poor baby. At least he is in very good hands! I can't think of anything to do that you are not already doing. Keep us posted.
