Snow storm hitting Midwest

A snowstorm is hitting back home and they can expect up to 8-14 inches by Friday night!! I guess the schools are already closed and fights are being canceled already.
This is the biggest snow amount due since 2015. So glad we got a new snow blower.
Jack will be happy because my son will dump all the backyard snow into a giant snow hill for him to play 'king of the mountain' and run through the snow maze he'll make for him.
Hope whoever gets caught in the snowstorm stays safe and drives carefully.

Yikes! Jack and a few other dogs are probably the only ones looking forward to it!

We are having such fantastic weather here in Florida and I'm loving every minute of it.

Brrrrrr. The 7 inches we got here a couple of weeks ago was more than plenty. The worst of it is winter isn't over for anyone yet. I'm going to not complain. Except for a rain day, we'e had nice weather this week. I've been out a couple of afternoons in just cords and a long sleeve shirt. Glad Jack is happy. Does your son use the blower to make the maze?

We had a freezing rain/ice storm earlier this week that made driving awful and knocked out power. I think I'd actually rather have the snow! Although, honestly, I'm so over winter and now counting down the days til spring!

I'd rather have snow than ice any day. You can drive on snow. No one can navigate ice. Forget spring, bring on summer - that's what I love.

My son uses the snowblower in the backyard to make the maze and then he and Jack chase each other around.

Over 10" so far with more coming tomorrow. Both of my sons have sent me pics of the snow, and yes, I do have to admit, I miss the snow.
Tomorrow we are going to the beach with my husband's cousin and her husband and see some of the little towns. Only one week left in CA and then back to AZ.

Saw this on the news & have to say that I'm glad I don't live there! I'm already ready for spring which is my favorite time of the year. Sorry, Diane, NC summers are way too hot and humid for the most part!

Which is why my mom and I avoid our beach house in NC from early June until Labor Day! Too hot, humid, and filled with tourists!

Agree about the tourists. Luckily the lake doesn't attract tourists. Good thing because there are plenty enough of the locals.

Would love to see pictures/videos of that! I can just see Jack loving it.

I totally agree! My favorite beach time is after Labor Day - the water is still warm but the tourists are pretty much gone along with that oppressive heat!

Every year, I plan a two week beach trip for the week before and after Labor Day, and it is absolutely woooooooooonderful! The weather is gorgeous and the crowds are gone!

I even love the beach in the winter. I love walking on the beach and listening to the waves at night.
