Tracker for your pet?
Has anyone ever considered a pet fitness tracker? There is an article about it on the latest on-line edition of 'Tails Pet Magazine'. They are not cheap and one has a monthly fee, but they say it can help determine the amount of exercise your pet does during the day. It collects all kinds of data for you to share with your vet. One area they said it is good for is tracking their resting heart rate. A lot of times when you visit the vet your pet is already worked up and they don't really get a good reading. If you had the info on their resting rate, the vet could actually see if there is an underlying problem going on. It can also help older, sick and overweight pets with the info provided.

That's interesting. Never heard of it. Because my middle son is here during the days in between his trips, I have a good idea of what goes on. They either are little lumps on the couch or they spend the day barking at leaves, wind, sounds and heaven forbid the UPS guy delivers a package on the front porch.

When I read "tracker" I was more thinking about a kind of GPS. I would not spend my money on that fitness thing.

I have a clip fitbit. Never considered putting it on the dog. No monthly fee. Has software.
