I am so very sorry for this loss to all your family. Life changes in an instant, and darn these little escape artists for making us worry so much, and leading to a heartbreak like this. My thoughts and prayers are going to all your family.

Thanks everyone. It was really hard when we got the call, Josh's mom is just like me when it comes to her fluffs so she is taking it very hard.

Unfortunatly there isn't anything they can really do except file a report with the city which won't do much but keep it on file. Both of the dogs (Zoe and the German Shepherd) were out of their yards and on no specific property. I do wish that there was a way for that dog to be labeled "dangerous" though. I blame the owners though, they keep that shepherd locked in their backyard all day with no interaction at all

Its really hard on my mother in law. They had went shopping and on their way home stopped for lunch and were literally driving by on their way home and saw what was going on. So my MIL blames herself for not going straight home She feels if they hadn't of stopped they would have been home in time to catch them getting out
