Hair thinking around eyes!

Hello everyone. I hope you can help me. Iíve been concerned about my Abbieís thin coat since I got her (seeing all Maltese puppies so thick and fluffy, she was a little different). Sheís 7 months old now. Iíve recently noticed her eyes look very pink. Her rims are not a very dark black like in some Maltese. Not sure if this can still change or not, but she also has very little hair around her eyes. I donít think sheís always been like that. Could this have something to do with shedding her puppy coat and the adult hair comming in?? Iíve heard this can happen around this age. Iíll try to post a photo below. Iím really concerned.

I see what you mean about her eyes. I actually had to get Krissie and look at her eyes. She has very similar eyes with that same look around the eye. She will be 13 this month and the vet has seen her eyes several times and has never been concerned. Not sure it is anything to worry about though. Nice to see you back!

Thank you. Thatís reassuring I think because Iím still new to all this and I just see all those fluffy Maltese on IG and my little Abbie is a little different. I love her so much and just wouldnít want her to have any issues. If I google this up I find mites and other problems and freaked out.

If you notice it getting worse or changing in some other way, then I would probably point it out to the vet and have him check it, just to make sure.
